Meet the Artists
Charlotte is a second year student in Forensic Science, specializing in Biology. She uses her passion for science to focus her artwork on nature and anatomy. Her favourite medium to work with is acrylic paints on canvas but she enjoys exploring all forms of art.
Dina is a second year Biochemistry student at University of Windsor. In her spare time she likes to paint, read, watch movies, and cook. She is also passionate about horse riding. Her favourite medium to work with is pencil, photography, watercolour and acrylic. She wants to learn calligraphy and graphic design in the future.
Paola is a second year Biochemistry student. Despite most of her curiosity being focused on science she recently discovered her love for the arts; film, theatre, poetry and visual arts just to name a few. Her favourite projects involve mixed media, so you could say her experimentation transcends the lab!
Kaitlyn is a third year Health and Biomedical Sciences student. Science has always been her passion along side art; SMArt allows her to combine both of these together. She loves to paint and draw, especially when it comes to nature. She hopes to go into the medical field someday and allow her art to teach people more about science.
Khushali is a third year Neuroscience student. She loves all forms of art, especially calligraphy and photography. She finds art fun and stress relieving, it’s the perfect way to unwind after a long day in lab. She hopes to learn more about graphic design in the future and possibly have her own photography business on the side.
Liessell is in her fourth year Behavioural Cognition and Neuroscience. She enjoys all forms of art, however painting is her specialty. In this organization she was able to contribute in creating a logo which has made her realize that she loves digital design!
Saya is a third year biology student. This club allows students like her to incorporate science in a creative and fun way. She enjoys creating abstract paintings and sketching using pens. She also likes the occasional long hours of watching the show, The Office, and sending cute alpaca photos to friends.
Kate is entering her fourth year in the Behaviour, Cognition, and Neuroscience program. She hopes to someday become a clinical child neuropsychologist. She has worked with many mediums but found her main passion in doing pen & ink drawings. She also enjoys photography, reading, and playing music.
Mimi is in her fourth year as a Health and Biomedical Sciences student. She enjoys all mediums of art, but painting interests her the most as she enjoys the flexibility and blending it offers. This initiative is perfect as it allows her to combine two things she loves: to be creative, and Science.
Dominika is a fifth year Interdisciplinary Arts and Science student. She has both a passion for biological sciences and visual arts and uses SMArt to combine both passions together. She has experience in mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and digital media, however she is most drawn to pen and ink drawings as well as watercolour and photography. She hopes to continue her combination of both art and science in her everyday life and research after graduation.
Loren is a fourth year Forensic Science student with a specialization in Biology. She enjoys painting and drawing art pieces of various subjects.
Kathleen is a 2018 B.Sc. Honours Biology & Biochemistry graduate. She is a pen and ink illustrator and hand lettering artist with an interest in Human Anatomy. When she’s not making personalized greeting cards, you’ll find her playing the guitar, piano, or ukulele.
Phil is a Biological Sciences Graduate - Class of 2018 - with emphasis in research. He is an aspiring science artist who loves research and art. He will be pursuing research as his future career and will continue to grow his art skills and one day will have an art business.
Madison is a third year Biological Sciences student and has a strong passion for the efforts of SMArt. She uses a variety of art mediums, including drawing, digital art, painting, and etc. If she's not busy doing her school work, you'll likely find her drawing, playing piano and guitar, singing 70's music, or enjoying a bit of Netflix.
Julia is a 2017 graduate of Computer Science at UWindsor and is currently working as a Web Developer. In addition to her technological background, her hobbies include drawing, animation, and video games.
Yue is a second year of master of medical biotechnology. She used to be a tennis player but now focuses more on biology. She hopes to continue her education to obtain a PhD and work in a lab in the future. She likes painting especially with water colour and also likes travelling and photography.
Pravallika is a second year Health and Biomedical Sciences student. She loves to paint with oil and acrylic, but also loves sketching. She enjoys watching thriller movies and going on nature walks on trails. In the future, she wants to learn other forms of art like pottery
