Birds of Feather

Kaitlyn Hand

There are 393 parrot species in the world; two macaws are displayed in this picture using graphite and pencil crayons. They are native to Central and South America and are currently on the endangered species list as "least concerned." It is important that people remember that animals on Earth, even the most well known ones, are in danger due to environmental destruction and pollution. Being least concerned on an endangered species list should be a catalyst for the whole world to take action, not when there are only a couple animals in a species left.
